Christmas Activity Night 2024

Hello again, CRS families!

The purpose of this blog is to share plans for this year's holiday celebration. There will be a link to RSVP to the event at the end of the post, so please don’t miss that! (The RSVP deadline is Dec. 2.)

We are excited to invite our school community to the third annual CRS Christmas Activity Night on Thursday, December 12th, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. In each of the past two years, our holiday celebration has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from families, students and staff alike. If it works for your family, we would love to see you join us, whether it's just to pop by for a few minutes or if you can come for longer! Every year, some families try to spend the full hour and a half at the event while it works better for others to just come do a couple of preferred activities before heading home.

In each of the past two years, the Christmas Activity Night has been a fun way to ring in the holiday season with our school community through a variety of traditional Christmas activities! This year, our organizing staff members are once again filled with holiday cheer and have planned another evening of events for families to enjoy. There will be carolling, cookie decorating (and eating!) a craft station, and street hockey with members of the Camrose Kodiaks among other fun stations to enjoy with your family, friends and CRS staff. (If temperatures are colder than -26°C, which is the cutoff used for our Polar Bear Club, only indoor activities will be possible.)

New this year, our parent council will be making fresh popcorn and accepting donations to support their many initiatives that improve school experiences for our students. Even if you do not wish to donate, be sure to stop by the Parent Council's popcorn station since every CRS student can enter their name into a draw for a 10-person party package at the Fitset Ninja gym in Edmonton! This year, we will also designate one street hockey game specifically for Kindergarten and Grade 1 students - and their parents - to make sure our youngest students can safely play with their teachers and Kodiak hockey heroes.

As always, we will have donation boxes for the Camrose Neighbour Aid Food Bank, which generously supports the Breakfast Program at CRS and countless other programs in our community. If you are able, please bring a food bank donation on December 12th!

Please visit the link to complete a short survey to let us know if your family can attend our Christmas Activity Night on December 12th, so we can plan for crafts and refreshments:
