Welcome back
Welcome!
Our first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year has finally arrived and it was wonderful to see our students return with smiles on their faces! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the school office and ask to speak to our principal, Mr. Reid Lansing or our assistant principal, Mrs. Candice McLeod.
The first day of class for Grade 2-5 is Thursday, September 3. Grade 1 staggered start first days are September 3 and 4. Kindergarten orientations are September 8 and 9. Teachers have been calling families to let them know that they are their teacher and to answer any first day of school questions. We can't wait to have you back! Students accessing the at-home programming should hear from their online teacher by Friday, September 4.
On school days, please plan to arrive at 8:35 am. Kindergarten and Grade 1 will meet by their entry in the back, near the swing sets, and Grades 2-5 will meet on the front lawn. Teachers will be waiting outside for their students. Parents are not permitted to accompany students into the school on the first days, but they will have an opportunity to support their children and see them off outside before the teachers bring classes in. Throughout the year, scheduled appointments for meetings with teachers and administrators will be appreciated and can be made by calling the school office at (780)672-5588.
Please take time to review the re-entry plan posted on our website and the BRSD re-entry plan (all based on AHS guidelines) before school begins.
